Way to take it past an idea! and if you build it... they will come.

Who "they" is at this point, I don't know but I can't wait to see.

Will you stick with the container theme upon completion and rent them out? How much to sponsor one as the 'La Belle Motel'

I wonder how the property faired after the tropical storm?

itch, we stopped by Sunday night. The bottom pool is flooded a couple feet over normal level and holding water just fine.. the forest is flourishing and took it like a champ.

As most of you probably noticed, the final stop of The Wakeskate Tour didn't happen at my place, instead taking up a last-minute Plan B at the Projects and naming the event The Contingency...

Right up to 10 days before the event was scheduled, me & my crew had been in Suwannee working relentlessly up against non-stop rains after already severe flooding to get our winch park operational in time for the Suwannee Pro. With that 10 day mark, I had to face the fact that we weren't going to be able to finish in time, working under the tropical conditions we were dealing with. I made the call & we got to work on the Contingency setup & that event was grounds for some of the most epic & filthy wakeskating I've ever seen...

So even though I was super bummed we couldn't hold the final stop of the debut year of The Wakeskate Tour at my park, I was very glad to give ourselves the chance to make everything out in Suwannee *perfect* before showcasing it to the world, and also very pleased with the raging success of the Contingency & of The Wakeskate Tour itself... Whether the Suwannee Pro is the first stop of 2013 or the final stop, it will be one I hope nobody wants to miss.

For a few days in mid-June, my forests were 4ft+ deep with moving water, in some spots going overhead towards the south end. Now the flood waters are receding & the high ground is slowly drying out, but it's still raining every day and we won't be getting back to work until November.

The old-timers in Suwannee are calling it the 100-year flood.

It seems like this ad, printed in the first issue of The Wakeskate Mag, predicted the fate of our first event

Future site of the Grommy Gap & the Rail Park

We've employed a few wizards to help us clean up the aftermath of the floods

We were fortunate to find a large enough dry space for this particularly graphic Roman Candle battle

I've decided to hold off on posting photos of the actual double-drop setup we're working on right now, just because it's looking rough & I want it to be looking as epic as it's going to look when it's done, before I go showing it off, and it's just not there right now...

I'll post more when we get back to work on it, thanks for the stoke

`nick

I thought that ad was a direct reference to your event being rescheduled.

Did you know your land would end up under water like this? Are you re-designing your set up in response to it, or is this a rare event? (aside from that 100 year flood comment.)

That place looks amazing. A secret wakeskate paradise tucked away in to the Florida jungle. I can't imagine the photos that are going to come out of there.

electricsnow, The 100-year flood comment is exactly what it sounds like. No one alive has ever seen anything like it out there, and so we didn't count on that much water ever coming through... It'll be taken into consideration as we move forward with construction, but honestly- when there's that much water covering the entire county, there's not really any practical way to keep our property from taking it on. Florida is mostly very flat.

The ad's text had the strike-through as a graphics choice by the designer, only later did we divine it's true meaning Shocked

-=AlexXx=-, I was bummed at first too, but this will really give us a chance to do it right... Quetzalcoatl willing, next year will be here soon!

dirtyohioriver22, Read what I wrote beneath the pictures of trees...

11RANDOMNESS, By now, we know better than to put deadlines or timeframes on project completion...

but I'm gonna say that we'll be shredding it up by the time the wetsuits come off this year Birthday
