Nerd alert! I've been browsing the 2013 deck thread on wake world and someone posted a link to an Australian shop that posted some of the new stuff. Daniel grant has a pro model that's interesting and they're calling it a hybrid, and it looks like it's available in a 39 and a 41. You can read the details here:

http://prowake.com.au/brands/liquid-force/2013-liquid-force-tao-skate.html#more

Here are the impulse decks:

http://prowake.com.au/brands/liquid-force/2013-liquid-force-impulse-skate.html

And Danny's sst graphic:

http://prowake.com.au/brands/liquid-force/2013-liquid-force-sst-skate.html#

It looks like the obscura brand is covering more of the decks this year...there's a strong logo presence on the lower end models that weren't typically included. They actually look a lot better than previous year's graphics.

$740 in American dollars when you consider the exchange rate!
They won't move many units with that kind of pricing! Shocked

Yep, Aussie pricing is higher.

G.k.d, if you ever ride Daniel's board, I'd be curious to hear more about it, like if it actually has a controlled flex and just how it feels.

That's cool that they are adding another type of deck to the lineup giving a lower cost board to help people get into it, then more durable/higher preforming for those riders that need it. Snowboards are priced very similar giving cheaper options for those that want it.

Daniel's board looks very interesting.

The LF rep was telling me that Daniel's board is a wood concave that is fully glassed and has urethane rails. And that it is a bit thinner than the impulse.

Why did they take these pages down? I was able to click on them earlier but am unable to do so now. Lame.

Not sure, but I was surprised to see the product up when the lf aus. was going to slowly release pics on their fb page.

wakemitch, I guess I was curious about the flex because of how they characterize their hybrid decks, and if there is noticeable snap and flex on that deck.

Interesting, might be the closest wakeskates to an Integrity being fully wrapped and all.

Thanks matty_edwards!

It's kind of funny how forum/wake nerds sniff that stuff out. A few years ago some other Australian site blocked us IP addresses because of something like this.

I actually got to ride dans pro model the entire weekend when he was down in Texas for the Obscura championship. As so did others. Not gonna lie or be biased but Obscura did super good Making the deck. It does have glass top and bottom wrapped in urithane and it's a solid wood deck. Green moslty which really compiments the wood. Rides like one and slides with no effort. If looking for a new board for fall def keep in mind!
