When you don't have a truck and u need to have the winch directly on the ground what's the best way to support it an keep it stable while ur pulling? Thanks

I use wooden stakes to hold my winch down works fine.

these are fantastic (for everywhere, not just the beach!). I picked up two of em and they're awesome if you put em in right. Just make sure to dig down to the harder packed sand first before screwing them in and bring a tool of some sort to help you twist (an old ratchet handle put through the eyelet works great).

Im not sure the correct name,, but I call it a masonry nail. its like 24" long and its used to hold forms for concrete. perfect. drive it in and pull right out when youre done

DaeDae, I have the 15"s and they're fine. 30" would take a crazy long time to screw in.


yeah, just tie a rope through the eyelets around the winch frame (I use two anchors, one at each corner) and you're good.
