Getting out on the lake today for the first time in a long time..... So long in fact I dont even have a wakeskate or jacket anymore lol. Anyway i think some friends might meet me out there, i'll bum one of there's for bit. I feel like I have supplied enough negativity here before, It was my turn to bring some stoke. I Got my boat fixed, running ect.... and i cant wait to teach my boys and my little girl how to start shredding......
Have a good Satterday (old school pun intended).

That's awesome starting them young, I can't wait till my little one is old enough. I live in FL, so it's pretty much year round riding, but unfortunately I had a couple bad accidents back to back and unable to ride for the past 2 years. Just got out today with a buddy and landed a clean kickflip and i/o fs ollie 360. I'm stoked!! |

Damn this is so awesome to here about others getting back on the water. Living in FL is good and bad. 1. It gives you the great chance of riding all the time when ever you want. 2. Way more places to find and way more time to get hurt. Long Live Wakeskating! |

got back in the water last friday behind a brand new tige full of strappers. it was awesome - but i'm so used to ski and winch that my lame attempts at jumping this gigantic wakeboard wake were hilarious!! _________________

F**ckin love getting back to the boat after a long stint without. Its like learning your w2w tricks all over. So much fun, although it sucks that you were with a bunch of strappers. |

Came home today and my nephew was trying carpet shuvs on his 34.5 sprocket america deck. Had his new life vest on and everything. Asked him if he wanted to put the stickers on his board yet and he said "heck ya!"
So I rummaged through my sticker stashe and he picked out some he liked.
5 mins later and this is the result
Although now that he has his life vest he is telling me he needs a board bag too so he can haul everything around like me.
Also big thanks to awatts / The LP for the new vest, fits him perfect and he loves it compared to the 9 year old pink Kmart one he has been rocking. _________________ Scuba Steve's Wakeskate Film Libray |

Spent the weekend up at my houseboat and had a great time. Rode doubles with the nephew again then told him he was on his own trying to get up. He almost had it but was getting tired.
I stayed in the water with him to help him get up by himself. Was easier to get him setup with the board and rope.
All in all it was a fun weekend and he was definitely stoaked.
Anyone else have a good time this weekend? _________________ Scuba Steve's Wakeskate Film Libray |

Awesome! I am just curious how long I will have to wait to get him out there. My nephew will only be 4 in December so i have a wait yet. But it's funny to watch him use his creativity and imagination to rig up a board, handle and rope in the house. It's nice to see I've made an impression on him. _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

I would have done this with m nephew at 5 but I wasnt around last summer. The key was him being comfortable in the water, mostly going under. He has been in swim lessons since he was 3 or so. That helped a ton since he wouldnt freak out if we got separated after a fall. _________________ Scuba Steve's Wakeskate Film Libray |

I think that will be a big deal. I think my nephew will start swimming lessons this year. He is a very seasonal little dude...last year he loved the water and this year he's not so into it. I'm not sure why. But he does love to pretend! _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

All you can do is put offers on the table. Leave him some magazines or DVDs and let him stoak himself out on it. That's what I did. My nephew loved rob and big and liked watching skateboard videos so I would leave him skate and wakeskate videos on the iPad to watch. He kept asking for more and more and it went from there.
The little fückèr is still trying to steal my transformers decks from me _________________ Scuba Steve's Wakeskate Film Libray |

Steven M, Hey if he is still not getting up on his own, what you can do is ride with him like you are in the picture give him the handle and then bail out ive done this with a little shredder _________________ ---------------------------

the transformer deck issue does not surprise me!
I'm just going to show him videos when I visit. He's too young to care about magazines, but even last summer we sat down together and watched "boards." It's the cutest thing to me. I was thinking of buying him a skate deck so he could carpert board and have something he could shuffle. we will see! _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |
