You should be fine if you send it in. But I would also recommend taking your defensive driving proof in to your local Clerk of Court in the morning. _________________ 407-212-7425 |

| Taylor, which court issued the ticket? I have been ample times to the Downtown/Lubbock St. location. Just take the DD certificate into the municipal court and along the back wall there will be a bank of teller windows. Dress nicely and be polite, they are semi lenient when they want to be. Explain your situation and they should accept it. If for some reason they won't then infer with me further and I'll get the information you need. |

For the future.... always take tickets to court. You may get lucky and the officer might not show up... DISMISSED, he might not have had his radar or laser re-certified... DISMISSED, or other reasons.... almost ever time ive been to court even for rear end crashes... judge asks me... "did you witness the crash" i say no.... then he says can you prove that the person you cited was driving the vehicle that rear ended the other vehicle? and I have to say no! because I didnt actually see that person hit the first vehicle and then get out of it.... so they always get dismissed! easy as that. Always fight your tickets!!! Dress nice, be polite, and be there on time, and you will either get it dismissed or reduced. |

| It seems like he did go to court initially if he was given the option of defensive driving. I agree, always go to your court date in hopes of the cop not showing. It is also recommended to reschedule your court date since the one you are assigned is one the officer chose and will be at, but if you change it then you have a better chance of no show. If he does show though then it's not really worth trying to fight and risking being convicted and having it on your record. Unless you do have some sort of hard evidence showing you were wrongfully ticketed, or incorrectly ticketed (I once had a ticket dismissed due to the officer putting the incorrect intersection and another 106 in a 70 dismissed due to "monthly lady issues"). Usually if the judge is nice you will be offered deferred adjudication with completion of defensive driving and not have it on your record. |

WTF really you got out of a ticket cause you were on the rag?
If I was caught going that fast they'd probably lock me up for reckless endangerment. Take away my license and my car make me get dropped from my insurance and probably slap me with a hefty fine. _________________ You make me want to punch a baby!
