The ones I saw didn't have the dams/mills in the background. Just the roadkill. But I never saw silas's board or yan's. Leos board was the black sheep of the group this year like Hooks was last year. It had a robot or somethin on it.

i also feel those are a bit steep in price, even though they have re-done their construction, remotes are not notorious for being very sturdy...but i'm interested to see what people think of them, and if they feel they are worth the money.

| ya i dont know what to think! cuz integs have the record of lasting so long, but who knows, this might be a new long laster and it'll be nice to see a different shape besides just the integs that last and are bought for that reason. i like both companies and its just fun to see growth in the industry. im sure the price will match the quality. just as with integ/mutiny. go remote!

I don't even know how anyone can immediately hate and just call these boards expensive wood concaves. I get that they aren't proven yet, and for that I can understand some hesitation and waiting for some results. but It's not like this is a cheaply made board. Slingshot is making these boards (but ben and silas still own remote), and I haven't heard anything bad about their wakeboards, which tells me that they have their process down and know how to construct a board. And on top of that, I think they'll bring a little bit of professionalism to the game as well. It's october and performance already has the 2012 line, so I think that's a sign of good things to come.

| electricsnow and senza wake, , agreed, i think we all know that cheaper wood concaves - although they ride super well - never last as long as we want, and some end up breaking super fast, REMOTE is putting out a QUALITY wood product, something that some brands don't do, and you end up buying 2 $200 decks, - thats more than the new REMOTES!!

just to be clear, I'm not at all against good, affordable concaves. My mind always goes back to something thomas horrell said about wakeboarding, which was "blah blah blah, wakeboards shouldn't cost 800.00..." Wow, I did a pretty crappy job with that quote (I kind of feel like tracy jordan), but you get the idea. the whole point with wakeskating was accessibility, and not everyone is going to want a 350.00-400.00+ dollar wakeskate. but not everyone is going to be hanging out behind a boat or PWC on a wakeskate either.
