Hey guys, I was a lurker a couple years ago, then kind of got out of wakeskating, but I think its time to get back in! I know there have been threads about both my questions, but I cannot find them for the life of me. I have a hyperlite scape board, and first off I want to make my own concave on it, instead of it being a flat deck, and then grip tape it. Also, I would like to repaint it, as the paint is kind of being scratched off, and I want to do my own thing to it. Like I said before, I believe there were threads about both of these things a couple years ago, so I am asking you guys if you know the links? or can explain a safe way of doing these things without me wrecking my skate. Thanks to everyone who helps!

helloWakeWizard, you mustve had a scary experience when you where lurking on here two years ago, you sound terrified
1. to grip tape it, go to a skateshop buy 3$ griptape, peel back, put on board, you might wrap your board in it, but its ok just cut off with knife/razor
2. to re paint it, Buy spraypaint, paint board,
3.You might want to focus on the griptape before the concave, Why do you think it will be a good idea to apply concave?
if you think you can then good luck, |

| I guess for the painting, I was just wondering if I needed like some sort of clear coat to go over top of the paint? and for the concave, I guess all the good boards have it, so I figured why not. thanks for the help though. I'll probably just grip it, and paint it, then maybe not be such a cheap a$$ next year and actually buy a new board. lol |

| if you wanted to add concave i would use good epoxy resin to adhere it, west system preferably. its very strong and very long lasting, plus it would seal that thing forever. good luck |
