Hey a friend of mine has a small 16-17 foot boat with a 60 hp outboard engine. Is this engine big enough to pull me. I know a jon boat only has to have a 50 or so but this is a little heavier boat. I've ridden behind a 90 but never a 60.
P.S. He might sell it to me if it'll pull me so that's why I'm so interested. I won't get to try it till after Easter when he brings it here from home. _________________ Being on the water just makes life better |

I roll a 55 with an old 17' mirrocraft. It works great. I just need to figure some kind of tower or pole for it... _________________

Oh ya I'm going to ride behind it in a few weeks, I just wanted to know if anybody else rides behind something similar which sounds like a few of you guys so if it pulls me, I might be getting me a boat!! _________________ Being on the water just makes life better |

| i am 6' and was 230 this summer, a 40hp johnson pulled me up relatively easy. actually getting on top of the water was cake. it took a few seconds to get up to riding speed though. that motor will pull you fine my man. |

| I got a 19ft centre console tinny with a 60hp four stroke and it pulls me good. |
