Ok I wasn't going to reply to esnow's comment because I like to keep the bullsh*t off the internet... but I've been working my ass off the last six months trying to make a legit, quality wakeskating site for our community to turn to instead of reading a wakeboarding blog and sifting thru other people's work to find an original piece of content.

Roland shot photos for Hooker's article, I designed the Going Pro ad and I asked Ben to interview Matt for OUR website. Ben asked Patrick to post it on Alliance and I had no problem with it because I want Matt to get all the exposure he can.. but today I found out the interview has been taken, Roland's photos have been replaced and the video has been removed. THEN the "article" was reposted on multiple websites under someone else's name.

I know this stuff probably isn't a big deal to most wakeskaters, they just want to see wakeskating content.. but to the people who actually care about the future of the sport and would like to be a part of it for years to come (not just as a side act to wakeboarding).. this is a big deal. This is plagiarism.

It's really hard for us to get this site going if it's getting ripped off and posted on a bunch of wakeboarding sites. It's evident wakeskating is in a rough patch right now and the only way we are going to get out of it is by doing things ourselves and breaking away from wakeboarding. Support skater ran companies and websites, because in the end.. WE are the ones responsible for future of wakeskating and how it will be viewed.. not a bunch of strapped up rockstars.

It's not like I want to go out of my way to be a jerk (generally), but I posted what I did because I think tad and everyone who submits to wesubsist deserves credit for what they're doing. This is a wakeskating site that wakeskaters should be stoked and honored to submit to and consider themselves apart of in some way. I was going to write a big old spiel about it but tad has spoken up for himself. The thing is this: thomas horrell had to convince tony finn that wakeskating would be more popular than wakeboarding, aaron reed talked about wakeskating being its own thing in asterisk, and ever since I can remember wakeskaters have wanted their own forms of media, be it mags, more sites, videos, whatever. and now we have people like tad or the guys at blast who have wakeskate specific sites for us (in addition to wakeskating.com), and I should hope that every level of rider believes in those sites and their fan bases, and wants to contribute to them. Support those who support you.
