Hey everyone, I'm new to this forum and wakeskating.

I was just wondering, how many of you actually own a towing vehicle (boat/ski/winch/etc.)? For those who don't, how did you get into the sport?

The reason I ask is I don't, and the only cable park in my state shut down last winter, so I'm kind of lost on how to get started. I do really want to try this though. I've been skateboarding for quite a while.

Anyway, I just thought I'd ask. Even if I don't start wakeskating for a while I'll probably still stick around here for a bit.

just make a friend with a towing vehicle....thats a good start. Also remember you can tow behind a car in flooded ditches and small ponds and creeks and such.

I have no boat, I know lots of people with boats. Wakeboarder kids like having a wakeskater in their crew. Become friends with wakeboarders.

I think I might be able to pay to get towed here: http://www.annabella.net/skipark.html. I'll probably call them about it when school holidays come around. Kind of pricey, though.

I've considered that. Probably not the best option, because i'll have to find someone to tow me and I'm only 14 so I don't know many people with cars, and I don't think my parents would do it.
