dcp1192 -

No way that should flip unless you mount the outboard incorrectly or try to ramp something in the water.

The one I posted with the black tower has a 40 hp on a 16ft boat.

Thing is solid as a rock.

my boy got the boat free, paid 600 for engine and 200 for tower. few more bucks here and there, gas tank, battery, plywood floor. he is 210 and it pulled him outta the water with 4 people in the boat today and him behind it no problem. 40 is the way to go if your a bigger guy

This may be it!

Hoping a 25 is strong enough.. 2 stroke Evinrude.

Oh and it's a 14.5 foot, which is fairly small but I'm sure will do the trick.

I know welded>riveted but how big of a deal is it really? I'm looking into investing into one for a little while my ski is down. I found a sick setup but the boats riveted and its fairly cheap.

found a Alumacraft MV 1648 in germany (hard to find). Its a 16' jon, modified V bottom, 40HP max, 48' wide...

its rivited and not a flat bottom jon so i dont know if its working.

peterpan, it should be working, though, from what I remember having people on here heard saying, the rivited boats are a lot weaker than the welded ones. the rivits are not quite immune to all the vibrations occuring when going fast.
but lets talk about it at playgrounds Very Happy
