absolutely serious. only reason not to wear one is cause it makes you feel like your cooler or something along those lines.

mojo, lol wtf I'm pretty sure people don't wear vests because it's more comfortable, and you get really goofy looking tan lines... plus it's just more junk to bring with you on the boat... etc...

I don't know a single person that doesn't wear a vest to be "cool"

HEY BRO LOOK AT ME I DON'T HAVE A VEST AM I COOL YET?

nah bro... not how it works, wear a vest if you have to... but if nobody is making you, why wear one?

really? tan lines. are you on jersey shore or something? hmm, tan lines vs. death. which one shall i choose? and vests are not uncomfortable. maybe a cga vest is, but i've worn TONS of non approved vests that do not bother or hinder your ability at all. i won't a shed a tear for someone who dies not wearing a vest. and yes it's because you feel cooler w/o one.

mojo, If you are not going to shed a tear about someone dying without a vest on, then save yourself the stress and worry about yourself and your own vest wearing habits.

I was just thinking of examples as to why people wouldn't wear them... and being cool isn't one of those reasons.

I don't think it's as big of a deal as you make it out to be, plus who wouldn't want to die wakeskating? Cool

what are some of the reasons? only ones i can think of are:makes you think you're cool or something, and wood boards sit under your feet when getting up better w/o one.
cons: you can drown, falls hurt more hitting the water, you can get a ticket...

mojo, It is legal in Texas to ride without a PFD as long as you are being towed by a boat. However, it is illegal if you are being towed by a PWC.

riding without some type of flotation, even a non cga vest , is about as smart as riding a street bike without a helmet.

its your funeral , and if you'd rather die doing something you love vs continuing to do it for as long as possible, your personal choice

and Mojo, dose it really matter what you die from? its an inevitability
sooo not sure what your point is

this debate is kind of pointless Laughing

Does it really hurt more when you fall w/o a vest? Where is seriously at when you need him???

I can understand w2w, but when you are just doing in outs and riding behind PWC, you would have to be kidding when you say it hurts more when you fall w/o a vest.

Also, you don't see anybody saying DON'T WEAR VESTS... so why should you preach wearing them? Just let people do them and you do you.

i pretty sure mojo is bankin off the fact that its becoming more and more apparent that riding without a vest is the new "fad".....if it gets you stoked, awesome, everyone does it at some point, however, 11 year old gettin stoked and watchin everyone else do it is never going to end well...no matter how you look at it, responsibility isn't always the cool choice, its just better on you and others you may influence, regardless if you aware of it or not

just my $.02

I hit my head on concrete and got knocked out and sank to the bottom due to me not having a vest on....I'm very grateful to live past that day and for my friends Nick, Vinny, Yuri, and Jon who all helped me live to see another day. It caught me by surprise and will also catch any of you by surprise...

I looked like a retard according to Jon

alright people, drop it... wearing a vest is personal preference.. who cares? if you come from an island with a surf/skim background your most likely going to be much more comfortable not wearing a vest... so its not for everyone, just like the seatbelt in the car.

ZackFL(BRE), why should we have to drop a decent debate that should be brought up from time to time?

and your seat belt comment along with pretty much everything else you post is a constant reminder of how immature you are and why we really should invest in a "ignore" button to ban certain members post from our views
