Never had an sst before and i really wanted one so i got a brand new 40.5 sst. I've been riding it for a month now and i think its pretty sick.

My problem now is that i want to rip with no fins. How do i go about taking the fins off of this thing? is it safe to unscrew the top level and dismantle this thing and then simply unscrew the fins off or is there some trick to it im not seeing? please help! i really dont want to wreck it.

or am i way off and stupid to be considering taking the fins off an sst. but forreal i would love to burn without them. im not unreal sick at wakeskating i just like to have fun and learn new things so if its not possible to pull these things off then i can manage. thanks everyone for the help

take the deck apart. i think the news screw from the top of the deck. then you can access the fin screws.

You can take the top deck off by removing the 6 peices of hardware from the top deck. They are under the grip tape so they are a bit hard to find the first time, but you can feel where they are by the soft spots in the grip. Once you take it apart you should be good to go.
