mojo, There's a shop in Mobile now? Granted the last shop I've been to in Mobile was George's Watersports. Next time I'm visiting family, I'd like to check it out.

no i just refer to ambush/buywake as my shop since i've only bought my stuff from there for the last 5or 6 years. they have always taken great care of me and they are the closest good shop. i can make an order monday night, and regular shipping it usually will be here by wed. maybe thursday at the latest. and as for george's, i went in there the other day looking for a trailer part and they don't have any gear whatsoever, and just have boxes of crap stacked in the office. they are some white trash.

I was going to be surprised if you said there was actually a good shop in Mobile. I used ambush for all of my gear when I lived down there. How's riding on Fowl River these days? I miss riding on Fish River on the other side of the bay.

You're spot on about George's...I haven't been in that store in 10 years and it sounds like it's exactly the same maybe worse.

fowl is great lately. a few more wake boats now than there were even a few years ago, but most don't really even use them. you probably know the martins or taylor from fish river ya? i hadn't been in there in about a decade and it's way worse. they just don't care at all. one day i'd like to open a shop here and sell skateboards and water stuff and some decent clothes. you can't even buy a skateboard deck anywhere in mobile besides walmart.

That's good to hear. Our family has known the Martins for years and Taylor and my youngest brother are friends. I was back over Memorial Day and went riding during the week and no one was out. I was sad to see that the rail I built back in 2004 finally bit the dust.

It would be awesome if you get a shop going for the area.

RC, There is a shop in Tuscaloosa? I lived there for six years when I was going to UA. I wish there was a shop when I was there. My youngest brother and his friend Taylor are in school up there now. I guess I'm getting old.
