i dont see the point in making a "wake" shoe and then stuffing it full of padding... Rolling Eyes

worst shoe for wakeskating= ugp. it's a great idea having the inner once piece, but it's uber thick and holds water. some folks enjoy a heavier/padded shoe. i personally like byerlys better than my nike wake shoes(the orange ones). the braatas are awesome feel and everything but sometimes hurt the tops of my feet. i'd say get some byerly 3's many of which are on sale at buywake.com or just find a middle ground skate shoe you like.

Same reason why they put padding in bindings and boat seats for that mater.
Yes they're going to get wet and yes they're going to be heavier but a bit of comfort goes a long way Smile

G.K.D., not to argue, but id say the examples you gave are different from a shoe.

my wakeskate shoes have no padding. They're still super comfy and they don't hold water so my feet feel light as a feather Very Happy

For the Nike Air Morgans Wake shoes, I am more preferred to mid high shoe. It is more passion, and if you are after on the comfort than a low shoe might be for you.
