My 01 Cassette Series 41 is my most valuable deck. Value is determined by the skater though. It is my first deck, I've learned so much on it, and its been to too many different lakes. Its beat up, scratched, warped, and gouged, but she's staying with me forever. _________________ If you don't like my fire then don't come around. Cuz I'm gonna burn one down.

I think he took it down. It just looked like the 08 limiteds, and where all of the boards were signed it said lunar board and the date or something. _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

One other board I was going to add to this is the mutiny perseverance. This board has hardly been up for any sort of public purchase...two were sold on ebay over the years, and I managed to get one from someone who used to help out with mutiny. Anyway, given the chance, I think this board would bring in some pretty good money. _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

For me (because I already have a regular 4 trac) I would say the blue 4 trac is what I most desire.
I rode a non green 4-trac proto that lovett had, I'm pretty sure it was black and I hear he still has it, though its broken.
- what about seman's composite and carbon fiber "cassettes"? I also rode his mutiny perseverance. Wonder what he did with all those? Know he still has them somewhere. _________________ the only thing worse then the freshman 15 is the freshman 9lbs 5oz |

I've ridden a couple of proto's that I would love to have, not sure if they still exist though. The first tolstoy, and a perseverance proto(not sure how close it was to the final design).
I agree that the 4-track has been the most sought after deck on these boards over the years.
You talkin about the blue one from the noseslide ad? |

This is actually a interesting thread... It's hard to determine a true value of any deck since the true value is based solely on what someone is willing to pay for it, at least in a monetary sense.
If you look at wakeskates in the sense of say an old car or an antique of some sort the value is based on.
A: The availability of the board. IE how many were produced or are available in the current market.
B: The age.
C: Current market demand
D: The condition of said item.
To me the list of boards that are probably the most desirable to people would be (in no specific order)
Cassette 4 Track, Green being the most produced and then the more desirable blue decks which I believe were never for sale and only given to team riders I think... Esnow??
Any Fresh Water Board
04 A. Reed Cassette, since there were few ever produced and the ones that did make it out there fell apart within hours of riding. Finding one of these in even decent condition is almost non existent.
Mutiny decks, the perseverance being the most desirable and rare, the steadfast decks were available in more recent years on ebay from whoever that was selling them... But they still make the list for sure.
Prototypes will always have more value because they are usually a one off deck... A one of a kind will always hold more value.
As far as the highest price ever paid for a deck? Well we all know Jim takes the cake and will probably hold that title forever.
Those are the decks that first come to mind... I'm sure there's others I'm not thinking of. _________________ arson-wake.com |

the blue cassettes were just 3-Ds, and not actually 4 tracks. Later on they were drilled to accomodate the 4 track fin configuration. I did hear that daniel did get an early 4 track but I've never been able to see it and also don't know if he has it. but if those blue 3 Ds still existed, those would also be very valuable.
I'm sure seaman still has his boards because I know he's been working on his collection. But just to clarify, the carbon and composite cassettes aren't actually cassettes. Those are custom boards he had produced...I can't remember if they were actually cassette shapes, but I know he gripped them like cassettes. _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

i'd have to say that the black concave 40" 2002 cassette super 8 is right up there with #4 and Mr. Reed.........as far as performance goes..........the 4trac and the Reed take the cake.....imo i'd say the Reed is one of the most durable wakeskates i've ever ridden. skateboardy to the max. _________________ dbanana wrote:

I also have a 02 reel to reel that's pretty important to me. It was my first concave. To bad its painted over. I still ride it, for a wile it was the only board I still had that I would ride. _________________ the only thing worse then the freshman 15 is the freshman 9lbs 5oz |

I wish I kept my 4tracks and the black concave with the 8mm.
Blue foam deck hyperlite wakeboard skate. Good ol owc and it's missing boards.
I'd even want byerlys first wood skate! Just cause it was his first.
And any cassette flat deck!
4track with black grip on both sides with the green paint exposed down the center... Sexy!!!
