| Does anyone know the start of this? Just curious, im guessing this is the right place to ask about this? I bought an obscura hampson 40.5 impulse, but i still want a remote. Is one board clearly better? Or whats the advantages. Also, the actual teams. I read on Obscura09 an email pastura sent pretty much dogging obscura. Is it just friendly or do they legit not like eachother? |

i can't imagine pastura dogging on anything or anyone else that shares a passion for wakeskating

it's all very lighthearted between those two camps...they're two of the best groups of riders in wakeskating.
as for the boards, you can kind of search around here and see what people have to say between the two boards. based on my observation (others can chime in if I'm off), I think one strength the remote decks really have is durability.

ZackFL(BRE), I don't think anyone on here thinks style doesn't matter, but that doesn't mean a rider's contest riding should be played down. There's something to be said for people that can handle that kind of pressure (or whatever) and lay it all on the line and come through. I think that's awesome and I really respect that...sometimes sucking at contests is an easy freerider's excuse. And really, is ben horan (as an example) going to do anything in a contest that isn't stylish? ben's contest riding is like melding two worlds...it's like having a s'more you can take a shower with...or something.
OK, that's a weird mis-application of a 30 rock joke...but it makes me laugh. I've really grown to love that show.
