///I think remember reading on this site that Cassette might release the top-deck of the bi-level separately for people who may already have a flat deck skate...You think this would ever happen?..I think it's a great idea...I have a 43" Cassette that I never use anymore and would love to cut an inch off each end and throw another deck on top...Lemme know what you guys think///

I never thought about recycling an old flat deck as the bottom deck of a bi-level application. I don't see why that wouldn't work if you can buy the top deck and mounting hardware separately. There may be a reason why it may not work that I'm not aware of, but it sure would be sweet if it did work.

I have a few flat decks that I could use or just save as replacement parts for a later date.

How crazy would it be to have something like a Kampus bottom with a Cassette top deck?

ok first off its doubt not dought, parky pay attention in english!
i talked to thomas about this at surf expo a lil while ago... he said about 6 moths after the release they will have all the stuff seperate and they will have different size risers and stuff, it will be customizable. so im sure u can buy wat u want and build one.

i asked him this because i was interested to see iff when the bottom decks wears out if u can replace just the bottom one and he said yeah.

sorry for the delay i just never saw this thread

Well you guys might run into some problems with this. First the bi-lev is assym. so there could be problems with that, also, the bi-levs actually have less plys of wood than a regulat flat deck,(remember, these are two boards working together), also, the bi-lev as a complete feature a "certain" veneer/ply cross grain construction, this allows for the way the board rides and responds. In "theory" you could mount a regular flat deck, but in the long run, it would actually be more of a pain to modify a flat, than that of actually buying a bi-lev bottom, I just wanted to offer some points to you guys.....
