FL - West Coast camping near Barrier Islands...

Does anyone know of a cool place to camp beachfront on the west coast of central FL? I'd love to get out to the Barrier islands region. We're taking a couple RV's so we need more than just a cozy spot in the sand for a towel :/

Any ideas?

So far we're thinking Fort De Soto Park.. but I figured you guys would know the best spots in west central FL.

taku, there is a campground on turtle beach on siesta key. Turtle has decent surf ha and the beach with the whitest sand in the world is right down the road (siesta). Plus a lot of us live on the key so you would have a place to shred if you wanted haha.

Fort desoto has an awesome dog beach and its just a beautiful place.. And only a short drive to the 941
