My friend (mostly him) and I started messing around with making some skates for fun. Here is mine. I'm really happy with how it came out. I got bored and drew a little graphic on with sharpie's. The deck is 38 inches and 15.5 inches in width. I can't wait to try it and see how it rides. The cold weather sucks!

e-snow, We used birch wood, put it in the press for a night sealed with epoxy between each layer. Then we added the concave to the sides and nose and tail, sealed with epoxy. Then we cut out the board, sanded the edges and sanded the concave's, blending it all. Sorry
I'm as detailed as I could be, I'm just tired and lazy lol.
-=AlexXx=-, I wish i had the chance to but haven't so far. Should be riding them the first weekend of March, no matter how cold it is. The new cable park in Ft. Worth opens that weekend. I'm really excited to try it. Oh and the cable has a tram that drives around so you don't have to walk

the tram is definitely a good idea, but walking is good for you.

jcoffey, yea I know man, but I don't think it has an official opening date yet. Last I heard it was going to be a few more months. I'm hoping to have the ski out within a few weeks, hopefully it's going to start staying a little warmer consistantly and then I'm ready.

That's probably the best looking homemade skate I've ever seen. Nice work!

mojo, I think he might of got a couple ideas from the thread on here (he thinks it was on here anyways, he found it through google) but most of the ideas he thought of, which were similar to the ones on here, just different, he came up with on his own.
The Kid, thanks alot man, that's probably one of the best compliments we could get!

Hey everyone! I got to try out the skate for the first time today. My friend(the one that made the board mostly) and I took out his boat today for a set, mostly eager to see how the boards rode. This was our first set of the season so far and man, was it cold. Air was around 60's F and water was 49 F. Other than the bitter conditions, we both felt our boards were easy to pick most of our stock tricks back up, for the first set of the season anyway. Sp far the boards have held up fine, and there are no signs what-so-ever of damage. We both commented on feeling as though we were riding just a normal wood concave (not a home made one). Riding a 38 for the first time felt a bit different but I think I'm really going to like it, especially as the season continues and I start getting all my tricks back. Anyways just wanted to let you all know. We are very pleased with how they ride. We are coming to Orlando over our spring break to hit up some stuff. We will be there March 12-21, or something like that. If anyone down there wants to shred, let me know. We are good for gas money, helping out ect., and would love to ride some local spots.
thanks, andrew

burn, yeah man I know it's sat and sun. I'll be there Saturday when it opens with some buddies, when you going? They said they will have 3 obstacles up by then. The fun box/wall ride, kicker and something else I forget.
