If they are like 3 dollars I want to get them as a gag gift for one of my friends. She has a tendency to wear lots of plaid. I would never wear anything such as that. I like my polarized gascans wayyyy too much.

sunglasses are way over priced. my friend lost his Oakleys that were over 100 bux taking a quick turn on a jet ski.... people have dropped others in the lake or river, other people have just left them in restaurants or just dropped them or stepped on them. Why pay 100+ bux on a tiny piece of plastic? The best sunglasses are the type u can lose or break and say ah i guess ill go to the dollar store or target and get a new pair 2marrow... maybe a different color.

overstreet31, if you really plan on wearing something like that im sure you have 10 pairs of these :

which are equally as retarded looking. fail.

alexx, horrible statement. quality lenses actually protect your eyes ALOT. it's very healthy. and i guess you probably have no idea how durable oakleys are these days. ya, shizzle happens and you drop them in the water or something. you can either be more responsible or shut the chickity china the chinese chicken up

				| mojo, ive never lost/broke a pair of anything, im just saying that because i have seen SO many people do it then COMPLAIN and cry cuz they wasted so much money. Yes it is all about responsibility. Dont buy something nice if u cant take care of it. I understand the whole protecting your eyes thing, i dont have to worry about that as much because i have UV protection on my contact lenses, along with some on my target sunglasses that i have. But i understand your points.

I never really appreciated the optical quality in a nice pair of shades until I started wearing shiznackle plastic ones. Granted, the plastic ones still protect your eyes to a certain extent (they had that little UV sticker on them), but when I wore my electric detroits, the difference was amazing. And I'm like ttufan; I buy expensive shades and I take care of them because it's worth it.

electricsnow, same here, i still have my first pair of oakley's that I ever bought (probably 6 years ago) in almost perfect condition. Same goes with my 2 other pairs, and my favorite which is my spy - flat black haymakers.

Ive had 2 pairs of spy haymakers, 2 pairs of spy bloks, a pair of spy trons, oakley gascans, oakley eyepatch, a cheap pair with sentimental value from germany, a $5 pair that look like gascans, all in the past 3 years and i just bought a pair of oakley dispatches a few days ago. I take excellent care of all my shades yet the only ones i still have in one piece are the 2 cheap pairs and the ones i just bought. Why? because ive had careless people around me that dont care about my shi t.

+1 for pricier shades being worth it. I have the same pair of sunglasses I got sophomore year in high school and i'm a sophomore in college now. Also have a pair of arnettes and smiths that are nice too.

I had a pair of polarized Oakleys back when I was 16 and life guarded. They made a huuuuuuge difference. The reflection used to burn my eyes almost but once I got those it was perfect. Best sun glasses I ever owned.
