Underneath the grip tape there are 3 screws running the length of the board on either side, you have to unscrew those and that will take the top deck off, then you can get to the fins. It's a pain but once you feel around for a minute you'll find them

ah, thats what I initially thought. theres really no trace of those screws through the tape by looking, so i just decided they didnt go all the way through. too bad theres not a tool that can get in there. anyways, preciate the help

Have you tried using a small ph. bit (that goes into a magnetic head for a cordless drill) with small ratchet or shifter? the bit itself is only 20mm or 3/4" long

fyi leaving out the middle screws gives you more pop, but don't forget to tighten the other1s regularly (they come loose a bit faster if you take the middle1s out)
