Hello Folks! I am Pedro from Brazil...
Usually I have been riding a Omen Revolt 40,5 wakeskate, sick board!!!
But now I am bigger and this board is getting small for me. I am about 220 pound and 6 feet high.
I use to wakeskate 30% in obstacles and 70% only skate tricks and wake2wake. I have about US$250 to spend on a new board.
Well, personally I like wood boards because I feel it is better for flips/shuvs tricks so I have a fall for the Impulse 42, I want to buy this one, but I not quit sure if a wood board is durable with obstacles, I use to do some kickers and flatbars and also I have a doubt if for my height a 44 board would be better.
And about grip tape or EVA! What do you think? I love grip tape, how it hold my feet and the skate feeling.

What board you recomend for me? I have these options:

2010 Hyperlite Nomad Wakeskate 44

2010 Hyperlite Paragon Wakeskate 44

2010 Liquid Force Mod Wakeskate 42

2010 Liquid Force Signal Wakeskate 42

2010 Liquid Force Impulse Wakeskate 42 (Aaron Reed)

And if you have another suggestion, let me know.

And if any of you wants to come to Brasil for some good sessions, just e-mail me!

Regards
Pedro

out of hyperlite and lf you should check out the 42 Impulse and the Byerly Revival 42". The revival is a pretty sick deck. the concave is so much better than the old legacy. I didnt get a chance to try the new obscura concaves but they seem really solid this year. really beefy

I would probably buy a composite instead of wood since you want something that will last longer.

if you can't get anywhere to ship the board you want you could contact the company directly and explain your predicament and they may help you out. how much do you estimate shipping will be to brazil.

I will contact some companies directly to see what we can do and if some friend go to US I can ask them to bring me one.

About the project ones, those board are sweet but the the skate are too small for me, is 39 I believe and the price they ask for a board is to much, R$750 reais (US$420,00) is cheaper buy one in US and I think quality is much better.

Probably I will buy Aaron Reed Impulse 42, lets see.

Does you think a 42 is to small for a big guy like me? 220 pounds.

And your personal judgement, what do you prefere? If possible, Why?
Wood or composite?
Grip or EVA?

i agree. get yourself a new integ. team 41" and you'll probably not buy another board for a LONG time, and im guessing they will ship you one. if they can't buy it, ship it to me, and i'll send it to you if you pay shipping.
