nopulseimpulse, He's right to an extent (granted, just raising the price of stuff isn't going to have mush of an effect like he's saying though). Why do you think illegal drugs are surrounded by other crimes and violence?

If you could simply walk in to a store and buy pot or some other currently illegal substance, there wouldn't be a huge trade industry of sketchy dudes with guns selling you drugs that you might not be 100% sure what you're getting.

It's like any prohibition. A great example is in the 1920's when alcohol was illegal.

Granted, this doesn't have a whole ton to do with raising gun/ammo prices, haha. But hopefully you can see my point. The harder it is to get something, the greater lengths people will go to get it.

triggamike, Tyranny has manifested itself in the form of an autonomous oligarchy posing with the façade of a two-party system. Democracy is gone if we ever had it. No matter what color (red vs. blue) controls the White House, the Senate, or the House, it's still the same ominous old white men sitting in the shadows making the calls. There are no sides, so you either sh.it hard about everything they do and let the strings they pull move you to anger or tears, or you can just appreciate the fact that the founding fathers set up such a strong resisting defense against such tyranny and enjoy your freedom while you have it, but don't kid yourself, they are doing just about everything they can to control your lives and while I don't see the American population rising to defend itself when it thinks "queers and abortion" are the enemy, I am excited to be a part of this time period in history and perhaps witness the fall of the empire.

EDIT: nopulseimpulse, I don't think it's this administration, I'm much more concerned about the one that's been in power since we lost Kennedy...

My older, wiser brother once informed me...and I feel as if some of you need this advice.

Stop watching CNN and Fox news, find the actual print, read the facts, and figure out what you heart feels...

Once you know what your heart feels, just in back through your brain. Then figure out an educated way to express this to others...

If you quote something heard on CNN or Fox news, your going to look like a fool to people who understand their own feelings.

And the only people who will agree or believe you, are those who watch CNN or Fox news to derive their own thoughts as well...

People's ignorance and party based, media worshiping minds are killing this country far more than the established government ever could...

After all, we are the people...right?
