Will wakeskating ever become an event at the Master's?

they have a wakeboarder anounce so they can tell what tricks are gettin pulled off etc... i think wakeskating would be a great addtion to the event and i would imagine sell a lot more tickets...

just fyi... to see ski flying alone is worth going.. covering just under 300ft in the air behind a boat is impressive

I pretty much hate regular comps. The riding level is most of the time close to suxxorage level... Compared to what you can see in the video parts.

Jam type of events are much better, cause riders are usually freeriding and doing best tricks contests and what not.

Or, maybe I haven't seen enough pro stops to tell, but those I saw on vids/tv sucked balls Very Happy

i guess if you've seen world records broken.. it means a little more to you.. i grew up on a lake and 5 national champ jumpers came from.. one of my best friends skied on the pro slalom tour... those events are quite a bit different than wakeboard or wakeskate events... the only wakeboard events i've been to is when they've been at the master's. i'd much rather watch wakeskating than wakeboarding... and i think the event could have both.

I've been once or twice. I've seen the world records broken, but it just doesn't have the steez. They do have some sweet equipment set up in the tents though.

yeah..... the merch is sick... and prices can be really good.. i bought my ho truth for $100 less than i could have gotten anywhere else... a friend of mine does the ski club tent.

were you there a few years back when parks bonifay got DQ'd for going over the jump ramp? Laughing

Yeah that was the first time I ever went. The crowd did go crazy, I can't believe they DQ'ed him after that.

imo that says a lot for the sport and it's growth. i really hope this "invitation" gets accepted and there is a good turn out from the rider stand point.

i don't think ski flying is not even an event anymore, just normal jump. someone was taken off on a strecher the year i was there.. shizzle was way dangerous.

i wonder what the entrance criteria will be...top 5 world ranking?

Anyone going that knows of/wants to hit any winch spots around callaway? i hate having to pass time during the effen ski events.
