P.S. A tower on a jon boat/bateau is the most unnecessary item in the world

in some ways its good. keeps the rope out the way of the motor. and the style points is way worth it. nice rig by the way.... Neutral Birthday

W, thanks that makes alot of sense.

i just really like the look of the tower on the jon boat haha

wakesskaterr536, yeah, i got my license over summer so most of my money has been going to my car/car audio but now the jon boat thing could actually happen.

Can anyone post some pics of the wake of a jon boat with a 50 on it?
if not, will a 16ft jon boat with a 50 on it make a big enough wake for a wakeboarder? (i dont wakeboard, just wondering...)

wakesskaterr536, i got a 16ft center console but its really light so it may be more like a lemons then an actual center console.
you cant really wakeboard behind it...if the wakeboarder is pretty good and can pop you can barely make wake to wake on it everyonce in a while. the most anyones ever done is a sketchy 360 haha

I know everyone says to get welded boats.. but will the riveted boats actually be strong enough to have a tower on and stuff? The only reason im asking this is because a riveted boat is all i can get my hands on.

eviltweak, haha I guess I wasn't looking hard enough.. face slap! And that's a 14ft isn't it best to use 16-20? Not saying that 14 wouldn't work.. but I thought I read that in here somewhere.

cjbecker, yeah but they are so cool.

I was thinking about getting something like this http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=828229 for when we go winching. Sure it would make an awesome addition to the lemons craft if you could hook it up.
