Very good. I like how the visited lots of lakes it was pretty cool, besides the fact that grub had the same lines on all of them ahhaha, besides the w2w back big indy that was a hammer and a half.

Kallas is an animal indeed, and BT's w2w kicky... sickness.

I didnt know Grubb was 29! and still progressing (slowly).

I hope that this First Hand helps bring a realization about how long Grubbs been around and how much hes influenced the sport of wakeskating. I know alot of people hate on him for throwing the same lines year after year, but he does that the best, if anything some one should be able to just mock it and beat him! But they cant. Hes so smooth and consistent and one of the best comp riders out there, and has been for nearly a decade!

With that said, hes got a pretty dope pad and looks like he pretty much lives the dream! Lucky dood.

Yeah, I thought it was great all around! Plus BT had a nice wake to wake kickflip and kallas' backside bigger spin wake to wake was nuts (the one he snatched out of nowhere).

But I think that first hand gave some really good perspective to grubb's involvement in wakeskating. Things have progressed so fast over the years, and with the direction wakeskating has taken over the past four years or so, grubb definitely rides differently from the newer crop of riders. but he's so smooth (something I think some of the newer riders lack) and it really is an accomplishment to say that you've been at the top of wakeskating in some capacity for 10 years. That's some serious longevity.

I really enjoyed it! We all may hate on him every once in a while but his wake style is impeccable. And you can't deny someone who's been in the game that long. and wow Kallas and BT rippin too. I think my favorite part was the bungee jump reverse flying squirrel lol that was sick Smash Smash

don't have fuel anymore but will look forward to it on hulu.com

Grubb was the first wakeskater i watched in movies with the pointless crew, so i really look up to him. He started out by wakeboarding thats why his skates are more similar to a wakeboard style than a wood skate and a skateboard feel. But i definitely love the way he rides, most conistant smooth w2w rider out there. you gotta remember he was the only one skating when all the pointless crew was boarding and he still progressed the way he did.

Man, to me grubb is just classic. I've said it before, but he was the first real wakeskater I saw in person, and it was so cool to see someone who was really good at wakeskting ride, and just to see it on another level. He's also one of the nicest dudes, like one of the best ambassadors for wakeskating. Just with the nostalgia and what not, I really want to get some of grubb's boards in my collection, but I don't stress on those as much because most are compression molded and won't deteriorate like a wood board will.

Anyway, I have some pics from that demo in 2002 and at some point I want to post some of the better ones. I would like to do something sweeter than just posting them, but I guess we'll see. I guess one other thing is I remember him trying a wake to wake kickflip and not making it, and just feeling totally bummed that I missed snapping a shot of it with my camera. That trick was a big deal to me because talk of it was so new...

electricsnow, if I recall, I've got the SBG wood deck he rode at that demo. We talked about it missing a long splinter from the side rail and what not.

Also Ive got the 04 112 if you want it for your collection. It's are just sitting in my closet.

Southpaw if you find a Hulu link for this can you PM it to me?

And now back on topic, Grubb shreds. First wakeskater I met at boardstock. Watched his gear while he rode cause all the Pointless guys were no where to be found so I watched his stuff and seen him shred. From then on I wanted to wakeskate.

Yea, that deck can also be seen in his day of the life in Snaps bonus, it's up in the rafters. He sent me that deck and an autographed picture.
