just expand your arsenal. you don't have to do the same tricks everytime you ride. and work on toe side w2w. _________________ "I said take me to the sea, cause that is where I want to be. I said take me to the sea and let my mother bury me." Buck-0-Nine |

hey man, i've been riding for years and i still fall on 3 shuvs.....alot. don't beat yourself up.
doing a shuv is 1 thing, making it look hottt is another.
try doing them onto the lip like Travis said or try them i/o and maybe an indy grab. just have fun man, don't worry about tricks, worry has no place out there. block her out, and let in the sunlight, the water, and get those good vibes. _________________ dbanana wrote:

I think it comes down to what you want to get out of wakeskating. If you want board control and style, focus on learning what it is that makes the board move a certain way, how foot positioning can help, etc. If you don't care about that and you just want to be able to say, "I can do trick x" then try and learn whatever you want.
I personally think it's better to slow it down and iron out your style and actually learn how to ride your wakeskate, as opposed to just trying to throw down a hot trick here and there. Then you're going to be able to put lines together and to have that board control helps if you want to work outside the box... _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

| i wish i knew the percentages of all my tricks. learn how to throw a big spray, like a large f*cking wall of water. the skills you'll learn just doing that will help with board control and pretty much everything else and then maybe you might focus a bit less on the numbers |

This quote made me laugh.
I think you have crises (sp) at different stages of your life. Not necessarily mid life crises, but you feel it and try to make a change because of it. One of mine for sure was going back to school and now one inspiration I had for going back doesn't even exist anymore. But I'm still glad I went back and finished.
Anyway, wakeskating will be one of the most frustrating and gratifying things you ever do because for the great majority of us, it doesn't come easily. Learning about flash animation, and how hard our professor has pushed us made me really appreciate what wakeskating does. I understand that people ride for different reasons, but if you like to learn new things, and especially if you don't ride in an area with a lot of riders, wakeskating can make you a problem solver. It sucks to keep falling on a trick and still wanting it so bad...but to figure it out and land it makes it 100% worth it. _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

You guys are great and funny as Fu**. Thanks for bringing me back to reality. I think I just like wakeskating to much and don't want to run outa time to get where I should like. I ride by myself as there are not many skaters around so cal that I have met. So I do practice quality of trick I hate to half ass it to make it easier. Anyway thanks again. _________________ laugh now one day it will be in charge |
