Who said bad things happen on Friday the 13th, Nasa confirmed there is a bunch of frozen water on the moon. I hope they build a space station up there soon that tourists can vacation at!

"This is not your father's moon," said Greg Delory of the University of California, Berkeley. "Rather than a dead and unchanging world, it could in fact be a very dynamic and interesting one." _________________ chance favors the prepared mind |

The dozen 2-gallon buckets were just from the debris a couple weeks ago when they "blew up the moon" and collected the debris that flew out.. So when you think of it like that... that's actually a hell of a lot of water they found on the south pole of the moon.
I heard info about scientists wanting to do ice core samples... kinda like they do here to date back to thousands or millions of years ago... but on the moon. Since the moon's ice is untouched/unmelted for possibly millions or even billions of years, scientists were thinking they might be able to uncover the truth of how the earth and moon came into existence!
Pretty intense stuff imo. _________________ chance favors the prepared mind |

interesting, fresh water? Well, we are going to need to expand soon, because overpopulation will destroy humanity before long.
I know thats kind of random, but it's true. Look at what China did with the 1 baby policy, too many ignorant 18 year olds with 6 kids, and if you look at the numbers, you yourself would see the truth.
Maybe not in our lifetime, but if we continue on the pace we are, which we will... people don't change, for the most part. |

gporter, most developed countries have very low birth rates. 2 parents usually yielding 1 child, which doesnt replace the parents. more people never have kids or have children later on in life in their 30s or 40s. but later on that will cause a lower population to care and provide for the majority which will be elderly as time goes on like an upside down pyramid.
developing countries have much higher birth rates but they often have much shorter lifespans
i dont think overpopulation is a big concern. it will balance out |

Does anyone else think it would probably suck really bad to live on the moon or mars? I mean...havnt we learned anything from Total Recall??? One positive thing would be the decreased gravity though I suppose....could make some sports a little more extreme _________________ shameless self promotion:
