premiums are on the rise. if somebody cant afford insurance right now, and they need medical attention...they get charged out the ass. does that make any sense? at all? getting fined if you dont have insurance, i guess they are treating medical as driving insurance now. being a person that doesnt have insurance at the moment, i cant think of what would happen if i got in an accident, like a car, wakeskating, or whatever, i would be totally screwed. 
but on the brighter side, when i get into the navy, health care is goin to the tits. lasic foooorrrrrr freeeeeeeeee.  but thats down the road a bit.

TWG, you do realize that you pay for the uninsured anyways right? its called an emergency room, but instead of paying for something simple like antibiotics by the time it becomes an emergency the cost to the patient ie. the taxpayers is uaually 4 to 5X the normal amount if the person just had some form of insurance in the first place
i'd suggest people actually learn about the plan instead of saying what they hear on the news or at the dinner table with the family, i personally am in the process of reading a much much shorter version of the 1000 page bill that is in the senate right now, but hey maybe i'm jus weird  |

and also people to realize we are the ONLY non poverty nation in the WORLD, one more time IN THE WORLD that doesn't have uni health care, maybe everyone is retarded , or maybe just maybe its a great idea  |

I do agree that its silly we dont have universal health care. Its going to be expensive has hell though. Does anyone else feel like we are in Soviet Russia before the fall?

| The downfall with universal healthcare to my understanding and from friends i know that live in.. Canada for example... It takes months to get an xray or catscan etc. because the lists are so long its rediculous.... Or maybe i was just misinformed? Who knows |

gov't controlled health care, the public option, will lower the medical standards across the board. waiting at the doctor already sucks, wait til it is run like any gov't entity like the DMV. if i were allowed to address health care i would: pull the supreme laws in favor of health care companies, offer lesser premiums to those who work out on a regular basis, force ins. companies to allow procedures doctor's request for patients, unless that doc. has previous incidents, and some other stuff. one thing that would help cut costs is to secure our borders.

my dad had a off beat heart. was in the hospital next day.. received treatment that day out the next day.. everything fine...
my uncle had to get his prostate removed within two weeks was in for surgery.
That only bad thing about UHC is some people take advantage of it. or go in with a cold.
If you don't have medical priority your going to be waited a couple hours in emergency.
you guys are so brainwashed by media... |

the plans stupid. isnt the whole point of america to work for what you want? ( i understand health cares different) but we still get bascially free health care if you walk into an E.R with a gun shot wound you will get helped.
insurance agencies is a big market if theres only one = no competition= no $ |
