jon boat ideas

i live in california everyone likes to spend to much money on a boat and gas around here. please give me some ideas for a cheaper boat. aluminum jon boat seems to be the way to go. Detailed description would be appreciated as i dont know much about boats.(boat brand size and year, motor size and make ect.) thanks again.

look in the lemonscraft thread. year and brand is really irrelevant when it comes to flatboats. as long as it's all welded and not riveted. riveted boats aren't durable.
