Tell me what I need

I am trying to build a winch this winter and need some help, I want to do it correct the first time. I was thinking about a 6.5hp Honda or knock off. Do I need a centrifugal clutch and a Tav2? If I need both which Tav2 should I get, and what size sprockets? Thanks for any info.

No, they both serve as the same function. I would get a TAV 2 for a 6.5hp motor, you will need it.

Last but not least, dont mind those two below you, i dont understand why they post useless information. And good luck with your winch. I hope it works out for you. There is plenty of information out there, just read through the winching section here and the sites posted above and you should be able to build your own winch in no time.

For a 6.5 HP a CC (centrifugal clutch) will work fine.
