Can you demo one first at a local shop?

You live in LA so there are a ton of Integ riders around that area. You should try em all and see what you like best...

why not go with another (stronger) wood board?

liquid force makes probably the worst quality wood boards out there. if you get a new or an oak or something similar, you can hit as much rails as you want and hardly have to worry about delam or crap like that.

i've never ridden a mod, but from what i've heard about them and seen it doesnt look like very many people like them

I have an 08 42 Reed as well. I don't know why people know the quality, I've had it for two full seasons, rode boat and hit rails with it and it's fine. It's by far the best board I've ever had and I've also owned a Gator, Omen, and an Integrity. Anyway I think it's the perfect board it has a great shape and amazing pop.

I've tried a 40' Mod. It was a pretty good board, it had really good pop just as much if not more than my Reed. It also seems like it holds up good on rails, I tried the community board and I know it was put through hell. The only things I didn't like about it was that it was a 40 and that the concave was a too steep for my liking. i'm 6'1 and have never really liked a board under a 42. I've had a 38 tnt, a 40.5 omen and a 41 gator and none of them felt that great too me so maybe the 42 Mod would feel better. But I really didn't like the concave, my feet were uncomfortable the whole time.

If you're willing to spend that much for an integrity, I would say get the 42 sst. That's what I'm getting, when I compared it to my 42 Reed it seemed almost exactly the same. The weight is the same, and the top shape is basically the same as the 42 reed except it's not asym. But it pops a lot higher and easier than the Reed, it feels real floaty which I like. And I know two people who have the new composite sst's who have not had a problem with them breaking yet

hope this helps

I've ridden both the 40 and the 42 mod and while they hold up well and the quality is good, I hated the concave on both of them. Not as bad as the Byerly but still really bad. Couldn't find a sweet spot to put my size 11 foot.
I also found it felt a bit dead (kinda unsnappy and unresponsive)
The pop was good though.

The 09 SST is cool though, comfy concave, snappy feel and generally nice. Holds up great on obstacles too.

Having said that the guys whose boards I rode really kill it on their respective boards and like them a lot. If it was my money I would spend it on the SST.

Thought about the O'Brien Intox at all?

caprice150, Thanks for the help. I think ill give the Mod a try because i really like the Reed shape and bought a SST 42 from buywake and the screw holes stripped after 2 weeks. (i'm 6'2" 205) anyway i have a credit and that looks like the best one that might not break.

Lollar an Gnarly Dancer 42 , My D-bag friend lost my 09 Integ LTD 3 weeks ago flew out the back out his boat, Stripped out my 09 SST 2 weeks ago, and cracked both my 08 Reed and my GB Drew McGuckin 41 this weekend. ( Fu*k)
So do yall really think that any wood deck would hold me? If so New or Oak??
