Only a wakeskater would start a thread about if things were legit. It's some sort of inferiority complex brought on by the fact you do a sport that's not as cool as rollerblading.

God...there's a point where things just get out of hand and retarded. Everyone has their sport and people who have the same sport can easily relate, making it easy to talk about their trials and tribulations on forums. Some people just have a real problem with inferiority and find it necessary to boost their own confidence by putting down other dudebears and their dudebear sports.
