Jacob how would fresh water get better pop if salt water is more bouyant, but I guess fresh just cause salt water can get annoying and rusts that shizzle out of the bolts on your board or skate.

U dont sink as much into the water in salt there u cant pop as much. The sinking action is what helps u get that height, how far the tail goes into the water.

i agree with that jew.==== jacob

and gsquad has it right.
in salt water the water is denser and feels harder. you may experience falls hurt more in salt. so freshwater is softer, and you can pop more- i mean to say, you can get your tail deeper in the water. if you can pop as well in fresh as in salt than youll get sprung back up better and get better pop. but most people can push down a lot further in fresh, thus getting better pop.
i know i dont ollie as well in salt water as i do when im in brackish.
but its also about speed, its harder to get more pop when youre going faster, because its harder to push the tail down deep. but again if you can manage to get the tail down at higher speeds you will get more pop.

parky- go easy on jacob, hes new, computer illiterate, dumb in general, and really sketchy. hahaha (and before you say it, i know you were being sarcastic)

and jacob, i think ive explained this to you before. and shut up before you confuse people more with your idiocy.

there was something about this on wb.com awhile back. look it up. all i remember is that one of them made you pop like a 1/4 inch higher. so no, it really makes no difference.
(thats as far as i remember, someone can find it)

To me the board seems to stick to the water in salt. Fresh is way better in my opinion... Cool

i live on a pretty fresh brackish water canal, and also in the keys. an i ride in the intercoastal all the time. i know both pretty well.
but it would be best to find out from someone who knows hydrodynamics.
and its probably subjective anyway.

speed is easy to change so it doesnt matter that much.

Well it deals with how stiff the water feels. The slower you go the more you sink, the faster you go the more you hydro plane and cant hold an edge
