at least you don't have illegal immigrants on borrowed 20 year old smokers (jet skis) who think it's ok to cross the boat's path between the boat and the boarder, while someone is actually riding.

wakeskate242, Dude thats how havasu and majave are! All the time! But that lakes big, idk about the lake your talkin about. Its funney when a see-doo thinks he can take on a boat doin 75! Laughing And when they follow rite behind you because its smoother, but there like 40-50 feet back there and if you slow down at all, there not paying any attention, they would end up hitting the back! Some people shouldn't be allowed to operate any sort of watercraft.

The other day, I was docked and waiting for some friends to show up. A random 'neck shows up with his wife and two kids and launches his boat. He gets his wife to hold the rope as he barely drops his boat in off the trailer. He parks his truck. His wife stands there with the kids holding his rope. She looks confused but doesnt say a thing. When he gets to the dock he yells at me for not helping his wife dock his boat. He also said my boat was in his way.

I began to tell him that she didnt ask for help, I am not a mind reader and he should be able to launch and dock his own boat by himself. I also told him it was weak to have his woman doing his docking. As he is yeling random things that I tuned out, he then wants me to help his move his boat around mine by giving me his dock line.

I should have thrown it in the water and drove off but his wife and kids were there.

Here is a crappy drawing to show the positioning of everything. (Blue boat is mine).

He should have just docked and loaded where he put in but he had to make it hard.

Freaking idiot.

BigGuns,
Thanks. Laughing

Learning how to kflip is next on the agenda.

Oh and be sure to look out on youtube soon for my instructional video on how to launch a boat all by yourself. Wink

mr.foonis, yes, multiple times (2x in one day at that!). We stopped going to Lake Perris in the summertime 2 years ago b/c of it. I've literally almost punched someone (while riding my skate) who was driving 2ft from me, but went with a quick spray to the face instead.

counterpart, I've had a place in Havasu & have been riding (or skiing back in the day) on that lake for the past 16+ years & have NEVER had anything like that happen to me. Now almost getting hit while on the ski or boat is a whole different story though... No holidaze for me anymore, I just cant take it. Worrying about wether or not I'm going to die on the water just isn't worth it.

wakeskate242, Yeah exactly. My fam tries to stay away on holidays, but if we do go, we just get a slip and hall arss down river or lake and find a chill, calm area and if anyone comes, they end up leaving fairly quickly! For some reason family boaters always seem to take off if they see someone wakeboarding or dancin, but of course they still come into the cove or somethin and roughen it up for ya!! Oh well Sad
