|
|
Technology sites and Apple forums have been inundated with comments about the new model overheating and becoming discolored since it was launched on June 19. Some iPhone users have complained that the device has become too hot to hold to the ear during long calls while others have noticed that the white 32GB model has turned pink after overheating.

I like apple products, overall they have exceptional products IMO.. but I posted this thread not to bash on apple as a company.. but because instead of accepting their big new product might have an issue.. they blamed the weather I thought it was funny.
ps - I <3 my G1.... most of the time :/ _________________ chance favors the prepared mind |

Yes.
I wonder, if the Iphone starts freezing in the winter, is Apple going to blame the cold? |

its really not even a problem. my phone gets hot when i play with it a bunch. atleast it detects that theres something wrong and pretty much fixes itself. the technology is flawless and the speed that they achieve with the new software/processor really is impressive
not saying at&t is the best service provider...but the iphone is the best handset on the market. _________________ "it is better to fail in originality than to succeed in imitation." |

...except this problem pertains to the 3GS model, which has only recently been released.
I'm gonna guess that it's a battery-related issue just like every other Apple issue seems to be. And they'll never publicly admit it's a faulty device, but will setup a warranty repair program and trade discolored units out for new ones shortly. That's been par for the course over the past few years with Apple... _________________ facebook.com/TheLiquidPlayground
