So i wakeskate in my cove, and there's a small bridge we have to drive under to get to the rails we built. Today i was driving my friend under it and some fisherman was standing on the bank like 60 feet away, and he waited until we got close then cast his line out and hooked our rope right in front of my friend and next to the handle. and i put my arms up like dude, seriously? haha. so i came back under the bridge the other way and he thew his can of worms at me on the jetski. And i was like gah What the heck? Fishermen... Haha. Laughing

Buuuuut, after that i caught my first front biggie ever. (ts i/o, too.) Cool

ya... they are usually very disrespectful and expect us to yield to them.... in all honesty they should be yielding to us.

Maybe I'm an assholle, but I would have told the rider to drop the handle and proceed to spray the fisherman with the jetski

Sagittorious, nickl011, i wanted to, but i realized the best thing to do is to let it go and try not to cause any trouble, because i would have done something i'd regret later on. Laughing

dude, fishermen need to chill out. we were on a legit houseboating trip on lake mcclure, and we were riding up the merced river (flows down the mountains from yosemite) when my buddy fell. next thing i know he's like "yo get me outta here!" and i asked why. then after his next fall he told us that the fishermen were yelling at him to get out of their spot or they would shoot at us. i doubt they had a gun, especially since it's illegal to possess a gun on the lake. the stupid thing is that up river was the only decent place to ride on the 7,100 acre lake yet the fishermen think it's their private spot. fail.

I mean if they're in my cove before i get out there, then i'll respect that.
But if i'm skating for like an hour and they they come waltzing in, and start bitching about us skating, they can get the fvck over it. Laughing

Yeah this is definately the way to rep the sport woo yeah. Have some respect guys, i love fishing, and i know the last thing i want when im fishing is some twats to turn up after im all settled in a spot and start ruining throwing wakes around the place (i know a lot of fishermen are absolute jackasses) but seriously, if they are there fishing and already in the spot, leave them be. There are times i understand where they can be asses, but there is always more than one spot to hit up.
