Anyone ridden behind these? If so what do you think? Any preference if you have any experience with both. Looking for a good SKi, and sea doo has proved to be not very reliable.

Any suggestions?

I have a 110 deluxe. I love it! I got the deluxe over the cruiser, one, b\c it is a little less expensive and also b\c I like the seat on the deluxe better. The seat on the cruiser is a little odd when multiple people are on the ski. The Yamahas are known to be very reliable as well. Mine keeps speed well and the lip is nice.

you definitely want a yamaha for towing, as far as between the deluxe and the cruiser, the only real difference is the seats, the cruiser has more of a back rest sort of thing.

i have the vx deluxe and i LOVE it, great for towing

sea doo actually advertises that their skis only last 10 years. so def. go yamaha or honda.

pyroskater00, I was looking at that VX deluxe and the FX today. Is there any reason to spend the extra 3k for the FX? I know it has a bigger motor and a few extras, but 3k is a lot of money for an extra 5 mph.

what is the torque difference? bc you don't need more top end. if one has more torque you'll get up easier, but i've never seen a ski that can't get someone up with ease.

Culp, it would appear to me that you are correct about the HP and all the extras. I would rather go with the cheaper.

Have you seen the Torque control/gas saver setting that limits top speed?

Moneyyyyyyyyyyyy.

pyroskater00, That's kind of what i'm thinking with the $$$$ savings. I'm pretty sure that when the doctor gives me the OK to get back on the water i will go pick one up.

Culp, VX is the way to go. Plenty of power. It is a little overkill with skating when you have that much power...

Well I think your 350lb friend should stick to being the free, easily movable fat sac on the boat Smash

BB, i'll tell him you said that. I don't have any that heavy, but you know, who wants to limit the sport to skinny, small shirt wearing teens and 20 somethings? Birthday

i have a vx110 deluxe and absolutely love it. As far as torque goes id say its got plenty, me and my friends ride triples behind it at times and it pulls all of us up from a deep water start.

the one complaint i have about the vx is that the mirrors are too low

thawk and i got done taking a set the other day and we were pulling up to his dock and when we were setting the boards on the dock the ski rocked and the mirror hooked under the dock and broke clean off

i have him a new mirror sitting here on my desk

but other than that its a really solid ski

i guess you really cant go wrong with buying any new ski , they all are going to work except the stand ups
