uh, Wakesports Unlimited in so-cal is giving it away, not Liquid Force. LF is just cross-promoting the thing to drum up some sales in a down economy.

And just to clue you in a bit on this, most people that buy a wakeboard setup for the first time go use it and have a bunch of fun, and then go back to the shop and buy a wakesurfer or wakeskate to add to their quiver. And you know what? The first time that most recreational wakeboarders hop on a wakeskate they totally suck, but it's ok because it's fun to watch people get up for the first time and try to figure it out (OMG no bindings, how do I cut?) and then fall awkwardly over themselves. And when the rider is done humiliating themselves it's time for someone else to entertain the people on the boat.

I feel like more people are giving up on wakeboarding and starting to wakeskate. Shouldn't it be buy a wakeskate and we'll give you a wakeboard?

-=AlexXx=-, wakeskating is obviously just a joke to those guys. Or at the very least they still think that wakeskating is a sideshow to wakeboarding. I guess to the average weekend warrior (which this sport is supported by) it is.

Yeah I saw the commercial for the lagoon. what about it. It sounded more like come support us rather than we support wakeskating. $25 bones a set? do i get a hand job with that? Besides Ronix (who only has one wakeskate on the market) all they do is support Bob Archer. I wonder how Nick and Stu feel when they walk into the shop and see that there boards aren't even carried.

yeah let's give away the worst wakeskate out, that will really get people into it.
"See how much your friends and family laugh at you" - Great sales tactic there. If you want to see how much your friends and family will laugh at you get a kneeboard.

I don't know much about marketing but how about doing something to get repeat customers instead of trying to get that quick sale from the local yuppie.

Nick is a surfer, and Bob Archer pwns wakeboardings soul...

However, wakeskating is still a fresh young soulful tot, ready to go out on a date and hopefully get lucky. so lets all go cut some water molecules and drink some brews(21 and up only please)

can you tell I having ridden since december and I get to finally ride again this weekend!!! darn navy
