Why does everyone hates Hyperlite so much, I just picked up a 05 Byerly and it is a great board. From my understanding if it was not for Hyperlite and its riders wakeboarding and wakeskating would not be what it is today. |

Your right Cassette was the first wakeskate company but it was Byerly and Horrell that used to wakeskate for something different to do when they were not wakeboarding. That was long before Cassette was even around. |

mergeleft3, so that had nothing to do with hyperlite! cassette made other companies including hyperlite realize that there is a market for this sport.
once again were do u ride??? |

I also ride a 04' LF concave, a 04' Cassette concave, and a 03' Cassette Flat. I plan getting a new bi-level as well |

What about WakeTech? I put trac top on my Wake Tech Flight 69 board around 10 years ago.
Gator & Byerly were the first ones pushing the sport back than and came up with the twin tip design. It just so happens that hyperlite has the $$$ now to pay for all the big riders that started everything way back than. So they get the credit which is wrong.
in my opinion:
THOSE WHO KNOW, KNOW!
THOSE WHO DONT KNOW, DONT NEED TO KNOW!
Let them ride their Hyperlites and that they started it all. _________________ Vive La Jeffe! - JLA is snowboarding!

i agree with mergeleft3 that people pick on hyperlite too much, but i can see why people wouln't like it because of the weight and the rails but still they made some of the first compression molded skates. which the integritys are. |

I begin to wonder how you rode an 04' Cassette Concave and an '05 Byerly. |

Just because hyperlite came second in making wakeskates doesn't
mean they aren't any good! I don't see anybody bitching around
about a Jaguar or a Porsche just because they came later after
Ford built the first T-model car! |

were not saying coming second is bad but mergeleft3 said that wakeskating would not be were it is today without hyperlite, and we merely said that cassete had inovated most, if not all the great wkeskating ideas _________________ ride a lunch tray

mergeleft3 wrote: | Why does everyone hates Hyperlite so much, |
because they are a top company. it happens in all aspects of sports industries. for example BMX bikes. you have Haro Bikes. now i know they didnt start BMX. but for along time, and still currently, they made great bikes, had the best riders and built their reputation up high. then BMX took off in popularity. new companies came about, etc. Then the same thing happened. "Haro sucks, Haro's are crap, theyre too heavy" their team riders, and products, got bashed and disrespected.
I think, and this is just my opinion, when a company gets basically to a number one status in their industry, people tend to talk a lot of sh.it about that company. a lot of them without any knowledge. such as kids starting out in the BMX scene were brought up to think Haro sucked, dave mirra was in it for the money, etc.
its all bull.sh.it, [and alittle propaganda-ish],if you ask me. ride what you want to ride, if you dont like haro, or in the wake world, hyperlite. then dont ride it, and shut your mouth if it not gunna be constructive. let people be there own judge before you imposs your view down their throats.
like i said its just my opinion, my .02. so bash me if you want, but keep the change. _________________ "You cant spell FAILURE without, U R A." |

Again I say, if thou hatest the Hyperlite or indeed, any other company, bestow thy hatred upon them with reason. If thou dost not have a reason, SHUT THE chickity china the chinese chicken UP! |
