Hey guys i got a problem and need some help lol
I just got my tav unit today and i guess got to excited and but a wrong piece on first and now cant get it off.
i took apart the whole motor to try to seperate the shaft nopeee, hammer the s*** out of it and nopeee..
So im sure im not the first does anybody have any ideas how to get this off???

you could to make up a puller that will get behind the piece. With a nail puller type slide to get enough force to yank it off.
or
i gear puller might work

I'm calling it quits on this engine just got a briggs 6.5hp new in box of craigs for $75 The best part of my day lol guess ill just have to reorder just that part.. |

Got it off by using a drill press to drill out the shaft and some smashes with the hammer  |

i did the exact same thing as you
used a gear puller and it came off no problem |
