you might wanna check out samara beach, good surf, and like an hour or 2 away is a hotel you can stay at on lake arenal sitting right next to a volcano shooting lava rocks all night looking out from there bar.. and not to mention hot springs 10 minutes from there.... _________________ NORML.org

Zack is very right! If you really want to experience what Costa Rica NOT is about, go to Jaco or Tamarindo. Grande, Nosara, Samara are good advices. And Pavones ofcourse (that's one my to-do list as well, after my surfing skills are a lot better).
And when you're visiting Arenal, you might as well do some skating with us. Right at the base of that active volcano. Epic, believe me.... Check www.flyzone-cr.com/lessons.
Let me know if you need any other info about CR. _________________ www.flyzone-cr.com |

i would also suggest playa hermosa as well. |
going to be at pavones june 17, so stoked to surf a real deal point break, first time ever, ready for some backhand blasts and burning calfs
also taku if you don't have your heart set on costa, nicaragua is just south, less crowded, incredibly cheap, offshore winds 300+ days out of the year and I've never seen it below chest high. Kinda where costa was 5-10 years back. I can hook you up with a buddy who rents out a house down there or suggest some good places to stay and surf. |
