Eh.

That guy was trying to be a wakeskate journalist and then when no one liked what he had to say he left.

Of course he is going to be bitter at a sport that did not embrace his ideas.

No worries

Wakeskating is fun no matter what anyone says.

If we stay underground and are classified as rollerbladers who cares.

Rollerbladers love their sport and so do we.

asteroid asteroid, do you think he's the only guy who's ever compared wakeskating to rollerblading, or anything else that's not complimentary? (jokingly or not--you read the skateboard mag, you know)

For what it's worth, Lipton is an incredibly sarcastic, tongue in cheek dude. He doesn't eat babies or focus wakeskates.

Even though it's pretty old news, I'll tell him to make sure and stop writing about wakeskating, how does that sound?

meh, the article was supposed to be funny but it wasn't and I have a pretty good sense of humor. Maybe it's not a 4:30am article.

electricsnow, I'm not saying it even really matters that wakeskating was compared to rollerblading. I'm just glad it wasn't compared to shawkboarding (even though we all know it's the future). Nobody seemed to notice he called wakeskating a legit sport, I mean, thats what really matters. Legitimacy.

As for linking to Yobeat.com I knew that since ws.com is the only place for wakeskaters to voice there opinion's (and that they have already done so about nick lipton) why not link an article that involves wakeskating to ws.com? I have seen many posts that involve linking to other sites..

i think its weird how snowboarders can hate so much online but in person they're all decently nice people and wakeskaters pretty much never hate online and are pretty cool in person
