taku, I dont smoke pot. I was just saying that in a general debate of weed versus Alcohol that we shouldnt just say one is worse than the other to try and justify taking it. There are a LOT of worse drugs out there, I mean i've worked in the emergency ward of a hopsital and have seen first hand what crystal meth can do to someone.
But yeh, weed and alcohol are both drugs and I think people who take either should understand that and just admit it, instead of trying to justify the taking of them. Razz

JonnyBravo, sorry to disagree with you but look at the deaths compared between alcohol and pot...... they are 2 totally different types of drugs.. unless its your first time smoking and it leaves you motionless... but at that point you should know better then to go drive just as if you felt to drunk to drive...... but to each his own. i just love the mary and know it helps me stay in control alot more then the alchie does.

ZackFL(BRE), U obviously need to read my post again. I am not saying one is worse than the other, Alcohol is a LOT worse than marijuanna in respect to the amount of fatalities. I am saying that u shouldnt try to justify smoking pot just because its not as bad as alcohol. It is still a drug and it can still have consequences.
I know every time i drink alcohol, that i make sure im not gonna be driving a car or anything cause it screws with ur mind. So dont try to justify weed, just cause less people have died as a result :p

JonnyBravo, just a lifestyle.. we dont get stupid high anymore it just changes my point of thinking... which i have felt is always for the better because i just wanna get shizzle done after i smoke... not to mention all of the people out there that NEED it..

JonnyBravo, The alcohol vs. marijuana isn't justification as much as just the overall attitude of non smokers thinking not smoking weed makes them a better person in any way when they probably drink.

ZackFL(BRE), I disagree with that, I think weed should remain a hobby and not be a lifestyle because people that make it a lifestyle generally are the reason non smokers hate potheads.

JonnyBravo, the only consequences you will have with weed are those of legal consent. given where you live of course... its not like we try to justify it. its the fact that people shun people that smoke (esp. when they have not tried it "before you knock it try it first") and consider them DRUG addicts or low lifes

Jholiday, I am not basing my argument on what other people have said, I have tried weed before, and I also drink alcohol. I have also had to deal with people that use alcohol to "treat" depression and I have also had to deal with people that use marijuana to "treat" depression. I am just saying that dont try to say there arent any consequences of taking ANY drug (be it alcohol or marijuana).
THAT is my point. Use the drug in a way that doesnt form a habbit is what im trying to get at, cause i have to deal with way too many people who use either of the drugs as a habbit and end up ruining their lives. That just me 2 cents
