We don't hate integ. Hates too strong of a word. We were making those boards over six months ago. The dust was settled between us and integ. Someone just decided to do a review on one of our wakeskates and they chose the Ebitch. I even offered to send one to Erich. He never got back to us. Does owning a skateboard or wakeskate company have to be so serious.

I believe the graphic got personal because the arrow, eye, and crown are all from past Integrity models...I think.

Also doesn't that make ERA (or any company) pretty liable by not putting a warning label on the board?

All I can really say is I've lost a lot of respect for a few people after reading this thread.

I agree that erich has a commanding presence and a lot of riders are drawn to him and what he does (and that's part of what makes him extremely unique as a personality in wakeskating and in wakeboarding). Talk to anyone who is down for erich, or knew of him when he was a wakeboarder and I think most would say that his image was captivating. If you responded to what he was doing and what his message was, you were down and that was that. He's raw, and there's nobody else like him.

But I also think it's proven that he's earned his support. It's not all "c0ckriding," as much as you'd like to think, fastgreens. The people that like his wakeskates KNOW exactly why they like his wakeskates, and they know that nobody else out there makes a board that's comparable, from the materials he uses to the effort and care that is put into every wakeskate. For his style of board, he's set the standard in quality and has a right to charge a premium for it. And it's not like his integrity designs are far fetched either, because what everyone knows as an integrity was in the works since 02, at least, and it was in the form of a mutiny perseverance.

And let's get real for a minute--it's not like erich is the only dude who has loyal fans, or has had people buy one of his boards because of the way they look or because of the people who ride them. Tons of impressionable wakeskaters end up celebrity worshipping. It's just that on this site, this small sector of wakeskating, erich has a lot of people who dig what he's about and they vocalize their support.

But it's nice to know that texas loves era.

Erich has invested his fiznackling life into everything "wake" and I seriously respect that, and it's a lot more than most anyone else in the industry can even begin to claim. I think it's really sad that people would support anything less than that, and basically look right past it. To me it seems like some people don't respect what we're a part of and what some people have worked so hard to build.

and for the record, I spoke to someone who saw those original Era wakeskates and from their perspective (and I trust their judgement because they know their shizzle), they were very liquid force-ish. couple that with the images in the older ebay auctions and the commentary was not too far fetched. You don't have to ride a specific wakeskate in order to recognize basic similarities in board design. If the Era designs are changed, more power to them because otherwise they're just another 484, and that company was a waste.
