Andy P. & myself found this little guy on a joyride through Narcoossee, he was crossing a dangerously empty street and we rescued him from almost-certain normalcy Laughing

We played in the yard for hours and he was named Abraham for his stern expression and sincere hatred of the cotton industry. We drove him back to Orlando in Andrew's car and kept him in the back yard for a while. He had a tendency to wander outside the confines of the yard, so we gave him a bit of this herbal ADD medicine and he settled down for a few days... he's still the background of my cell phone.

I love gopher tortoises, their cute little elephant back legs lol. So sweet too, so are s*lider turtles (stupid forum changes that word to "rail"). I've rescued 4 big ol' honky gopher turtles from my neighborhood right along Red Bug road (aka certain death), and relocated them to various lovely orchards and meadows.

I also had a rescued bunch of baby green ear s*liders that I raised from birth (still had their egg sacs attached), they lived in the glory of my master bathtub with live plants and stuff until they were bigger and had a better chance at TEH LIEF

In conclusion, I <3 turtles, but I love having a bathtub that I can use too.

hahaha that's funny I was wondering what a "rail" turtle was Laughing

I forget why but pet shops in NJ aren't allowed to sell turtles. When I was little my mom took me into Philadelphia to buy a couple of red eared rails Surprised

Nick, sick pics

Probably because of salmonella... s*liders live in water which they poo and pee in, children pick up their cute little turtle pet to play with them, then later on their dirty fingers end up in their mouth/eyes etc... and the children get sick and young kids and old people can die from it.

ps- NJ is hatin.
