Wondering if anyone on here has done custom paint on their shoes? I have too much time on my hands and have been thinking about trying it out.

Well I have a few pairs of left over byerlys here in my shop that I thought i could practice on. After that Im not sure. I try to only wear wake brands so that leaves out any dunks, and I havent seen any plain 6.0's. What kind have you done and were you able to seal them to protect the paint from water?
I have also thought doing some leftover 08 bindings I have just to help sell them and clear up some space in my shop.

i've just done some old skate shoes but to seal them you have to use this stuff ( i forgot what it was called) to take all the protective waxy stuff thats on the shoes, then paint them and seal them. this is a really good video telling you basically everthing.www.youtube.com/watch?v=nK0EbSlzqcs

I paint penned a couple of pairs of DVS shoes. One pair I used was the old profits in black, and the other pair is the DVS buywake kenyans. I thought of using spray paint so I could get a wider variety of colors, or have those color options, but I never put in the effort to do that. Paint pens are easier to use, but they don't last or remain "perfect."

Here's a pic of my "counterfeit profits." My kenyans are very similar because they were modeled after those team edition kenyans that were kind of turquoise/aqua and black. What can I say, I'm unimaginative...but I always really dug that colorway.

no, I just bought a bunch of shades of green. Laughing

I actually used one of those paint pens to color the perimeter and middle stripe of one of my flat decks in 06 or so. Afterwards I sealed it and it worked out well. hella fresh!

Or something!
