System Flo2™
Even skating on a cool day makes your feet feel hot and sweaty. In fact the thermal climate around the foot can reach temperatures of 41º C (105º F) at 100% humidity. STI has focused on identifying the thermal problem areas of the foot while you skate, and engineered solutions that cool these hot spots. The result of this research is System Flo2™ high air flow breathable tongues. Made with porous reticulated foam and thin, breathable materials which do not require the use of glue, System Flo2™ tongues allow for more breathability.
Open Cell Mesh Strobel Board
The Breeze takes breathability further than any other skate shoe, with its open cell mesh strobel board on the bottom of the shoe. This allows heat that would otherwise be trapped inside the shoe to be realized and replaced with cool, fresh air. This feature makes the Breeze the most breathable skate shoe ever made.

Durability
Unique Layering
Unique layering of materials is used throughout the éS line for Spring 2009. These layers of synthetics, leathers, meshes, and rubber are all combined in the shoes to give them maximum structural support
400 NBS
NBS is a numeric rating of the density and abrasion-resistance that is given to rubber. 400 NBS is the highest grade of rubber that allows a shoe to be flexible and avoid cracking. All éS outsoles have a rating of 400 NBS, which makes for a much more durable skate shoe

STI Evolution Foam™
éS introduces STI Evolution Foam™, designed specifically at the STI Lab, this new foam provides better cushioning than traditional foam materials and dramatically reduces the weight by eliminating the need for a heavy rubber outsole. This special combination of EVA and rubber results in both durability and helping to make the Breeze the lightest technical skate shoe ever made.
Cushioning
System G2™
éS uses System G2™ because it was designed exclusively for skateboarding, not basketball. Unlike EVA or other shock absorption materials like air bags, System G2™ cushions hard landings without giving up board feel and control.
