Wakeskates that grow in value?

Funny how all the normal stuff in wakeboarding and wakeskating drops at the end of the season and most of the shops cannot give stuff away.. I think it is pretty cool that some skates hold value or actually increase over the years. Integrity seems to be the skates that demand the most during resale.

Snow your probably sitting on a gold mine now. A few more years and your going to be able to retire.. Smile

it was called like the lunar board and they made it to help out bobby miller because of his dirtbike incident

They didn't make that board specifically to help out bobby. Erich said they made that board with a blemed base graphic on the night of that crazy eclipse last year. he said he didn't want to sell it, but jim wanted it and in the end, it did help out bobby.

flixmaster, I think it's select boards that really hold their value, and it also really depends on who you are selling to. That kid (jim) is pretty much the only dude who would ever pay 1600.00 for a wakeskate (at least right now). And if you look at an 05 lemons and an 06 TNT that were on ebay within the past month or so, those sold for like 190.00 and 185.00, which is relatively low, all things considered.

I honestly think a lot of people don't care about a lot of my boards. Cassettes hold a certain amount of nostalgia and respect among most wakeskaters (but selling prices seem to rise and fall with those as well. But if you get some hard core cassette fans duking it out for a sweet deck on ebay, the board will sell for a lot.) Beyond those and a select few, I think it's kind of a wow factor and that's it.

But, I will be re-couping a ton of my boards within the next few weeks and I'm going to update the museum and the "deck collection" thread.

lumpy pants, I thought there was a pic posted somewhere. It's basically a limited with orange (I think) sidewalls and it says lunar on it.

i saw a guy place $10,000 on the field at a craps table in lake charles yesterday... that's wasting money!!!

when money is no issue..... it should be spent.

fastgreens, I think it's that a lot of people on here don't have the same luxury as jim, which is getting 1600.00 from your parents to buy a wakeskate.

I could care less what he does, I would really just like an integrity [to ride] and no one on this site can even come close to how much he offers for every one that gets posted for sale.
